A quick test is to pull the bolt, turn the bolt handle straight up and look across the pad at the base of the bolt handle where the serial number is stamped. If it's nice and flat it's the original number.The serial numbers on the bolt, butt plate and bottom of the magazine all have the same number 45343 however the safety knob (not sure of actual nomenclature) has 46343 but it almost looks like it was restruck, (I'll post a photo later the computer's giving issues.) Mike.From what I understand on the refurbs, federal law requires the importer to serial number the receiver since the receiver doesn't have one. The barrel has it but the receiver is the 'firearm'. The importer randomly assigns a serial number based I'm the order taken out of the crate.
